It all started with the sale of a boat and a casual conversation about wanting to own a golf course. Five months later the Mariner and Ashmore families made that dream a reality with the purchase of Laughlin Ranch Golf Course which was finalized on June 23, 2017.
On Saturday, June 24, a brief “Meet & Greet” between the owners and staff was had at The Ranch. Representing the owners were Art and Dorothy Mariner, Steve and Shelly Mariner and Chris and Rene Ashmore. Greg and Kristy Mariner were unable to be here this visit. Also present were Corey Palmer, Rob Horner and Jason Steffenhagen.
On-site management will be handled by Chris and Rene Ashmore and Corey Palmer. You will see them on property daily interacting with guests and staff. Chris brings over 30 years of golf industry experience that will serve him well as the V.P.. of Golf Operations. Rene has an extensive marketing and business background and is looking forward to the role of General Manager. Rene will be focused on marketing Laughlin Ranch and the overall operations of the property. Corey, Director of Food and Beverage will be dedicated to The Grill and Outpost. Corey has a solid food and beverage background and is eager to elevate the dining and cocktail experience at both The Outpost & SLATE at Laughlin Ranch.

We like to know what’s in our food so we prefer to make everything from scratch. All of our sauces and salad dressings are blended together by hand. All our meat is cut fresh to our specifications. Our fries are sliced by hand on site. It may take a little extra time but we believe the best food isn’t made by cutting corners.
