Keeping with a tradition begun in 2014, the Tri-State Military Moms unveiled 15 new banners honoring current service members from the area.

“Since May 2014, the Tri-State Military Moms, the City of Bullhead City and the Arizona Department of Transportation have partnered to honor our active-duty serving members from the Tri-state on an Arizona highway,” said Cindy Frizelle, president and co-founder of the Tri-State Military Moms. “Fifteen new service members are being displayed on banners all along Highway 95 from the Laughlin Bridge all the way to the city limits at Sterling Road, adding to the current banners of over 125 service members. Our community is proud to honor those who serve and all military veterans who have defended this great nation.”

The latest active-duty service members to be honored by the Military Moms: Bryce Birch and William Stauffer, U.S. Marine Corps; Cheyenne Contreras, U.S. Air Force; Carley DeAtley, Christian Hagele, William Handlin II, Austin Hibbard, Rosa Medina, Austin Olson and Camiel Trost, U.S. Navy; Daniel Horta, Austin Keating and Juan Carlos Lopez, U.S. Army; and Jeffrey Watkins and Chase Whittaker, U.S. Coast Guard.

New banners are displayed twice a year — Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

Honorees must be an active-duty service member and either be a resident of or have immediate family who are residents of Bullhead, City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Needles or Laughlin.
